I’m a UX designer and linguist pursuing an M.S. in Information Experience Design at Pratt Institute. I came to UX through linguistics: my B.A. and M.A. research at the University of Puerto Rico focused on how people communicate online, and I’ve been curious about where communication breaks down ever since.

This summer, I was a UX Design Intern at L.L. Bean, where I redesigned the Customer Preference Center. I audited 15 brands, collaborated with personalization, analytics, and marketing teams, and prototyped and usability-tested a design that served both customers and the business. I also designed a keychain for my intern cohort that L.L. Bean ended up licensing. (I’m still a little proud of that one.)

Before that, I volunteered with Develop For Good, designing an app for underserved students hoping to study abroad, which is where my commitment to accessible design took root.
